Stamatis Kantzas

Stamatis studied Marketing and received his Masters in Organisational Change & Development from the University of Manchester. In 2004, he joined P&G where he served as Consumer & Market Knowledge Manager until 2009 when he resigned to found Braincandy. Braincandy is a research-fuelled brand building consultancy that serves big multinational companies, across the world. He is an expert in Behavioural Economics, traveling around the world to train organisations on how to shape people's decisions and change their behaviour for good.

  • What is Behavioural Economics?

    Behavioural economics is one of the major intellectual developments of the past 50 years. This scientific field became popular thanks to the work of the psychologists Daniel Kahneman and Amos Tversky who managed to identify and analyse many of the core biases in human cognition. However, the richest precedent for behavioural economics is in the works of ancient Greek philosophers. Almost 2,500 years before the current vogue for behavioural economics, Plato was identifying and seeking to understand the predictable irrationalities of the human mind.
